“Construction seems to be of a very high quality and the bushes still look factory fresh at 18 months old. Looking forward to the years of trouble free Meister-R motoring ahead.”

Performance on road?

“Fantastic feel, sensitive fine damper adjustment and simple DIY installation. Better than the half a dozen other coilovers I’ve owned previously (including D2, TEIN, ST-suspensions, Eibach). Mated with top end road tyres this suspension gives me a lot of confidence when it comes to handling and control.”

Performance on Track?

“Yet to take the car on track, but this will change over the coming months.”

Value for money?

“I purchased my coilovers second hand for a price I couldn’t refuse, but I would happily pay retail for a new set.”

Would I buy again?

“For sure. Can’t see why I wouldn’t.”

Honda S2000 – Zeta R suspension review

By Testimonials
“This review covers the both sets of coilovers which Zeta-Rs on both my EP3 Civic and my S2000.
When I bought my first set, I didn’t want the spring rates to be too hard, so I contacted Jerrick through civiclife.net and he arranged for some softer springs to be built up on my coilovers. They arrived in very short time and the completely changed the feel of the car. It was more planted on the road, the ride was more supple than the standard suspension and less rattly. But I got bored of the EP3 and moved on to an S2000 which I bought another set of MeisterRs almost immediately. Jerrick has to be one of the best people I’ve dealt with, he’s fast in answering emails, knowledgable and when I met him at Mimms ’13 he was the nicest guy! So a big thanks to him and everyone at MeisterR, you’ll certainly be getting my custom again when the time comes.”

Performance on road?

“On the road I have the damping turned down almost the softest setting because they absorb every bump and take out the horrible jars from the bar road surfaces around my area. That said, even on the softest setttings the car feels planted in coners and doesn’t have much body roll. I guess this is more to do with the springs but they are just very comfy coilovers to use on a daily basis and if I am going somewhere for a hoon where I know the roads are decent I just dial them up a few notches to a harder damping setting and the feel is completely transformed and everything tightens up.”

Performance on Track?

“I’ve not had the chance to use these in anger on the track which I’m meaning to do at some point this year.”

Value for money?

“For the quality of the product, they’re fantastic value for money. They’ve been on the car for a year now, covered over 12,000miles and the closest they’ve come to being cleaned is the spray from motorway driving. They were protected when installed with some ACF50 and when I came to adjust them I gave them a quick brush off and they were cleaned up like new and still easy to adjust. Their dual perch design also means that you can adjust the spring preload as well as the body height which is handy for additional height adjustment and corner weighting.”

Would I buy again?

“Of course I would. I’ve already owned two sets and they’ve been trouble free and performed excellently.”

” Not only did i receive good coilovers, i also was able to receive quick detailed advice from jerrick. The product sold itself, but to receive on the spot help it was great.”

Performance on road?

“Very good, at first they were preety bumpy but a little adjustment made them spot on. Easy to adjust, although at one point they did become preety stif but a bit of lithium grease and some muscle they were loose and easy to adjust. They were able to go preety low! I could barely get my foot under the front lip and they still had a few more inches to lower.”

Performance on Track?

“Did not use on track”

Value for money?

“Considering i had paid £500 for when they were on offer – id say they were cheap!”

Would I buy again?

“Yes for the price, i would purchase again.”

“maybe offer the fork type option at point of sale as no i have the eyelet type its alot harder to find rear control arms to match”

Performance on road?

“on a soft setting the zeta r’s preform the same as standard dampers on the road, comfy and but not too much body roll. on a harder setting the handle very well but pot holes and bumps are a bit of harsh with the solid top mounts but that doesn’t really bother me too much, the height range for a track based coilover is excellent. i’ve had mine on my car for march 2011 and have covered 30k miles, they are still easily adjustable and no issues”

Performance on Track?

“on track with stiffer settings the zeta r performs amazing, the handling into corners at high speed seems effortless. i’ve used them at mallory park, donington, silverstone, rockingham and the nurburgring.”

Value for money?

“they are excellent value for money, i was a bit concerned spending the money on coilovers but have always stated there the best modification i’ve made”

Would I buy again?

“definately, i recommend them to anyone who will listen”

Honda CRX VT B16 – Zeta S suspension review

By Testimonials

“Overall, I have been impressed with The Meisters. They are still in excellent condition, and haven’t shown any signs of corrosion on the dampers or springs to date. They are easy to adjust at the top of each strut. I haven’t played around with adjusting height much yet but plan to experiment this year when on track days.”

Performance on road?

“I find the Zeta S coilovers to be very forgiving on Yorkshires pot holed roads on the soft setting, and although my car is very raw/caged etc, it hasn’t shaken my teeth out to date!”

Performance on Track?

“I have been to several UK circuits, and can honestly say the car handles fantastically well on the hard track settings, with minimal bodyroll. The 32 positon damp/rebound settings allow you to experiment for optimal handling. Wet track days are dealt with by winding the settings back to softer damping to minimise disappearing off the grey stuff!”

Value for money?

“Excellent value for money compared to other coil overs on the market.”

Would I buy again?

“Yes, I would probably upgrade to Zeta R to see what difference they make to the car.”

Toyota Glanza – Zeta R suspension review

By Testimonials
jamie1st toyota glanza 03jamie1st toyota glanza 01jamie1st toyota glanza 02

Performance on road?

“I have been running the coilovers for the past 18 Months now and cannot fault them, on the road they take the ride excellent. They’re not too harsh/stiff which allows the bumps on the road to be absorbed, keeping the tyres in contact with the ground to maintain grip.”

Performance on Track?

“Since having the coilovers, I have attended various track days and plan on competing in the Toyota Sprint Series for the 2014 season. I have found the coilovers to perform very well out on track. In conjunction with an updated rear anti-roll bar, the car now reacts as it should and holds a nice line through corners.”

Value for money?

“Considering the price of the coilovers in comparison to other brands available, the value for money is top notch.”

Would I buy again?

“I wouldn’t hesitate to run the coilovers again, the only thing I would plan on doing is running a slightly stiffer spring weight (available from MeisterR) as the car is now 90% track only car.”

“Excellent back up advice at the drop of an e-mail or call, would not use any other coilover”

Performance on road?

“I have run them for the last 18 months, performance on the road, excellent progressive performance, absorbing road imperfections without jolting the car, the car holds a nice settled line through the bends, the shocks themselves being smooth and progressive, best move away from previous shocks and springs which were to harsh on UK roads, fully adjustable for height, damping and camber,  as well as the bling factor :)”

Performance on Track?

“As above”

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

By Testimonials
toudou juku mx5 01toudou juku mx5 02
“For a long time I was very sceptical of the Meister R products, from the early days and Jerrick’s involvement on the CRX-UK forum it was hard to argue with his enthusiasm and aspirations of providing quality, well-developed suspension at affordable prices, but for me the only things I would be putting on my car were those made by race and time-proven manufacturers such as Bilstein and Eibach. Over a few years the Meister R coilovers seemed to be growing in popularity and receiving good feedback, but still I was dubious, I expected the units to fail the test of time and thought the feedback all came from people who didn’t know what a car that handles well really felt like and just wanted ‘lows’. Yet the coilovers continued to receive good reports and very few failures were reported, when my search for a MX5 for the track threw up a car fitted with Meister Rs, it didn’t put me off. ‘I’ll give them a go and if they’re no good then at least I’ll get good money for them’ I thought. Well, two years on and I am thrilled with the Meister Rs to the point that I have written this endorsement, I would buy them again without hesitation and would definitely consider a set of GT1s as an upgrade if they are made available for the MX5. In addition I recently contacted Meister R about changing the front springs for something a little stiffer, I received a swift, helpful response and found that the dampers have plenty of range for use with such springs.”

Performance on road?

“Though the car is predominantly a track car, I drive it to and from all tracks. With the dampers softened off the ride really is quite nice for a track car, though I usually forget to adjust the dampers at the end of the day and it still isn’t bothersome over 2 or 3 hours.
I also enjoy taking the car out for a blast on familiar Lincolnshire roads where a slightly softer damping setup provides a lovely compromise. The car is composed over the sorts of undulations that you just don’t get on track and well enough controlled to allow enjoyable, swift progress – I would go out of my way to recommend them to anyone looking for a road coilover.”

Performance on Track?

“For me the Meister Rs really have excelled on track, considering they provide such a good compromise on the road, I have been really surprised at their ability on track. The car is very well set up and the coilovers are well supported by other chassis improvements but the fact remains that they are fundamental part of what makes the car handle so well. Cadwell park is my local track and the car really excels there, a relatively soft setup gives great composure through sections such as The Mountain and Hall Bends and the adjustable damping provides the scope to fine tune the balance through faster turns such as Coppice, Charlies and Chris Curve. This means that be it for fast road or track use, I would recommend Meister R to anyone.”

Value for money?

“Really very, very good. For a damping-adjustable monotube coilover with alloy top mounts (extended at the rear) and independent ride height adjustability, £700 is very low indeed. But £700 is still a fair chunk of money for all but the very fortunate so it’s important that people know that the product will represent value for a number of years. Happily I can report that I have never had any issues with my coilovers, nor have I heard of anyone else with issues beyond flaking of the paint on the springs. Given the performance, product features, price point and proven durability, I think the Meister R coilovers are very hard to beat in terms of value for money.”

Would I buy again?

“Without hesitation.”
