Product Description

The Sportive coilovers is a height adjustable sport suspension designed to work well for every day performance.
The goal of the Sportive suspension is provide great ride quality, sharp handling, all while sitting at a lowered ride height.

The Sportive use 6kg/mm front springs, 5kg/mm rear springs, and are paired fixed damping twin-tube dampers.
The out of the box ride height setting is 310mm Front / 320mm Rear.
The ride height setting range are optimised to be between 305mm to 315mm front, 315mm to 325mm rear.

The Sportive damper valving were developed in house at our UK R&D workshop, and are matched to the paired springs rate.
Ride quality of the Sportive will be supple, compliant, and will ride well over uneven road surfaces.
It won’t be as responsive as the mono-tube dampers used on the MeisterR ZetaCRD, but will certainly feel much more controlled than OEM.
One would say the Sportive would be an “OEM+” option, sporty performance but certainly not track dedicated.

The Sportive suspension will come with aluminium top mounts pre-assembled (Rear top mounts are extended), ready to be mounted on the car out of the box.
The damper bodies are electroplated to enhance corrosion resistance.
Bump stop, rubber dust cover, and 1-year warranty are included.

Have just had a set fitted to my 1990 Eunos that had an aftermarket set up fitted early in its life. Yhese gave a firm but very harsh ride. On the other hand, my “Sportives” whilst still on the firm side are far more responsive to road conditions whilst still making you feel really planted to the tarmac. My steering feels more direct and the car is cornering as if it was on rails. These units look good, are well engineered and perform up to expectations.

Excellent set of Shocks, I have had 2 previous Mk1 mx5’s and they had aftermarket shocks, but nothing like the feel of these, while they may be a little soft for the track they are spot on for the road soaking up the bumps and keeping the car on the road, The car feels very responsive and i had no idea an change in shocks could make such a big difference. brilliant value for money dont hesitate!

Sportive coilovers on a Mazda MX5 NAI replaced the standard shocks and springs on a 1994 1.8 MX5 NA with a set of Sportive coilovers. They are a revelation compared with the 25 year old / 120,000 mile tired OE suspension: more compliant over small bumps, hence more comfortable, but firmer for bigger hits, so the car corners flatter and feels more stable. They’ve also lowered the car nicely by 20-30mm, yet the mk2-style top mounts give more travel at the rear, so the car no longer bottoms out. All in all I would heartily recommend them for road use.

Sportives on NBI’ve recently fitted Sportives to my 1999 NB and they’ve made a really sizeable improvement to the ride. Faster cornering, greater comfort on long commutes, and never crashy. Highly recommended.

Fitted to my NBFL, traffic. Great ride, tighter feeling to the car. A bit jiggly on French rural roads (compared to the originals) but don’t bottom out and stick to a line as never before.Bravo!

Installed these coilovers roughly a month ago on my 1992 eunos roadster and cannot rate them highly enough! When I brought the car it was on worn very hard and crashy eBay coilovers which made the car unbearable for long journeys and daily driving, but these coilovers have made such an improvement, I still get a nice stanced look but with a nice comfortable ride that doesn’t make me want to cringe every time I hit a slight bump in the road , whilst getting that really nice direct and grounded feeling from the car. Very easy to install took me roughly 3-4 hours to do the whole car by my self slotted right in to place with no trouble. I was defiantly sceptical about wether they would be worth the £500 especially on a 28 year old car but worth every penny and will definitely be returing in the future if any other shit box I buy needs some great coilovers!
