Amazing!

I fitted the Sportives to my NB mx5 and I am massively impressed. The ride quality is far superior to my stock bilsteins (although they were very old) and cannot complain about anything. Definitely recommend for use on the road, probably not for serious track goers but probably suitable for the odd leisurely trip around a track. Very comfortable, well made and look great. Pic is before and after with 16″ alloys.

Great value, the perfect addition to my daily driver

I’ve been daily driving a bring yellow Mx5 for about 2,5 years now, and swappen out the original suspension for a Sportives set. The original suspension was still in pretty good condition considiring the age of the car, but my main goals where to go a little bit more agressive both in rideheight and handling capabilities, while not going overboard with the budget. Mainly though the miata forums, a decided to go the route of the Sportives, and so far the experience was great.

Suspension was well packaged, with all the needed tools in the box. For me it was the first time changing the suspension of a car, but with taking a long weekend for it where I don’t needed the car, it was perfectly managable with an extra pair of hand.

I’ve installed them initially with the “out of the box” ride height, but after 2 weeks I’ve raised the rears about 6mm (~0.2inch). My tires where rubbing just a tiny bit too quickly, and I felt lookswise, the rear was also sitting a little bit too low compared to the front. I’ve shortly dived into a wheel alingment afterwards myself, but ended up not letting it get done properly. Toe was pretty much unchanged compared to how it was sitting on the original suspension, and Camber slightly increased to about 1.5-2 degrees front-rear, which was exacly what I wanted to go for with my setup.

I’ve been continue do daily drive the car for the past months, so far I’ve been absolutely loving the way the car is currently set up. The car is still perfectly capable for the more bumpy roads and driving through speedbump filled city where I am living, but I still taking the backroads to my way to work every morning and that is where it absolutely shines. I am pleasently suprised how much reduced body roll this already gives without upgrading the anti-roll bars. I was a little hesitant before I decide to pull the trigger on changing the suspension, but I would 100% go the same route again.

What more can you want

I’ve have been running these coilovers for almost 3 years now on a 1993 Miata. The car is track focused, but is used on the street as well. It has been on multiple long road trips, and abused on track.

The car started as a stock Miata, and got these coilovers as it’s first upgrade. With the Clubrace, extended ball joints, frame rails braces, a roll bar, and 225/45/15 200tw tires the car was unbelievable. On track it was very predictable and responsive. The car could not lose in the turns. At NYST there is a turn that is called wheelie hill. It is an uphill that plateus with an apex. This car can launch off the apex and get the 2 wheels in the air everytime while staying full throttle. Meanwhile other cars get extremely upset by trying to do the same thing. The dampers and spring rates of the Clubrace really work well together.
Now the cars is turbo with 230whp. The car is still able to utilize these coilovers perfectly. I suspect if I add full race aero or 245 slicks the Clubrace would not be able to keep up, at which point I will look into the GT1.

On the street I back the adjustable dampers to soft, and the car drives great. Does not best you up, bit still gives awesome road feedback. I have drive 6hrs straight in this car multiple times, was never hurting after.

I have recommended these coilovers to many, and a handful of people in NY have bought them off my recommendation. Every person has been very pleased and impressed by the Clubrace and Crd.

Comfort and stability

What a difference to the sc430. Still can retain the luxury ride and yet corners as if on rails. With 32 Levels of damping adjustments, truly go from very soft to very firm. Could not be more pleased with return on investment. You will not be sorry with these.

Bart Boyd

Brilliant suspension kit

The Meister R clubrace kit I have found to be absolutely amazing on track for the money. Plenty of adjustment available, the dampening adjustment is really easy to use and you can feel the difference between the clicks. The cars handling was transformed over a stock damper and lowering spring setup. For the money I don’t think you will beat them for performance.

Great Value and Performance

Prior to installing the Zeta CRD suspension, I installed the Karcepts front and rear sway bars. I wanted to lower the car about 0.75 inches to improve the appearance with an added benefit of performance. Thus, my decision to install coilovers to replace the factory GT-S suspension. The car is street driven only with no intentions for use on the track. It is basically my fun car to drive. And now even more fun after installation of the Zeta CRD suspension. I am still playing with the damping adjustments to fine tune the driving style and local roads. The ride is somewhat firmer than the Bilstein suspension it replaced which is what I wanted. Its just a great improvement from the OEM shocks and ride.

Prior to deciding on the Zeta CRD suspension, I researched many options on Miata.net and YouTube. I don’t need a plus $2000 suspension for what I wanted. The reviews on the Zeta CRD are very positive. Plus Kill-O-Byte did a great series of videos on his YouTube channel and I learned much watching him install the suspension. The installation of the suspension was quite easy if you have some mechanical background. It took several adjustments to get the ride height I wanted. The adjustment of the shocks is very easy to accomplish. The wrenches MeisterR provide are excellent.

For the cost of the Zeta CRD, I don’t believe you will find a better value for the quality and performance you get.

The support is great. Jerrick is active on the Miata.net forum and responds promptly to emails sent to MeisterR sales.

In summary, I’m very pleased with the decision to purchase the Zeta CRD from MeisterR.

Honda Civic – Zeta S suspension review

I would highly recommend these to anybody wanting the great look and handling performance of lowering but the quality and comfort you desire during day to day driving! On the motorway they are so comfortable you’ll forget you’ve got these fitted and on the A roads you’ll be glad you do!

Performance on road?
Brilliant! Not at all crashy on the various lumps and bumps the British roads have to offer! So comfortable as well, my first drive on these were from Nottingham to Edinburgh and back in the same day and I can happily report that I do NOT need to see a Chiropractor afterwards! Even with a 60-70mm drop I can still get over speed bumps without beaching the car!

Value for money?
You get what you pay for, these were well worth the cost in my opinion! I hope to see many years of service!

Would I buy again?

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

The handling is so much more compliant than other suspension I have had in the past.  For road use they are perfect, whether cruising or B-road blasting.  With the out-of-the-box ride height, I rarely scrape the road or arches and is found to be just right.

For AutoSolo they performed well.  With them on my everyday road setting, body roll was acceptable, but after adjustment, body roll was negligible.

Fitted by Skuzzle (in around 50 minutes).

Their surface condition was still good after 12 months use through British winters (see pic).

Value for money?
I wouldn’t buy anything else.  I seem to often hear of people buying cheap eBay coilovers and then changing to coilovers in the price range of the Meisters.  If you’re going to buy coilovers, do it properly in the first place!

Honda Civic – Zeta R SuperRace suspension review

Having bought an EK9, new suspension was the first thing on the wish list. Having spend a long time researching the various sets available and reading endless reviews I decided on the MeisterR SuperRace. I didn’t really mind how stiff they were on the road so long as they would hold their own on track or on spirited drives on smooth tarmac. However everyone, including myself, were surprised at how forgiving the SuperRace actually are on normal roads. The car doesn’t crash over bumps and humps, rather it rolls over them and is quite forgiving considering the spring rates. On track the only thing that beat me through the bends were time attack cars and competition cars and I was on normal road tires. I began the day with the damping on fully soft all around. I immediately felt the car being a little tail happy so I stiffened the front damping by 5 and it was perfect! I never had to touch it again all day. I even had two Impreza STI drivers in the car and they couldn’t believe how well it gripped!

The quality and appearance is excellent. It was a shame to put them on the car and get them dirty as they made a nice ornament in the house for the few days before I had them installed.

I dealt with Jerrick who was very polite, very easy to deal with and had an answer to every question I had. I really don’t think you could get better value for money and I bet you would have to spend an awful lot more money to get a better set up.

I’ve had mine fitted since 2012 and they are not corroded and still free to adjust.

Performance on road?
Not used it too much on the road, but when I have, the suspension was compliant enough for the roads about me. Have never tried them in the local McDonalds carpark.

Performance on Track?
They perform great on track, with plenty of adjustment to suit the weather and conditions.

MX5, Starlet, Silvia, 180SX – Zeta S & Zeta R suspension review

seriously high end quality, I have never had any corrosion issues even after hard track usage and abuse, I have never had to even speak to meister r about any issues or faults.

Performance on road?
A nice hard ride, puts serious amounts of confidence when cornering at high speeds with no room for error..

Performance on Track?
Perfect performance, my personal taste is do have a slightly harder spring than what was offered in the mx5 however having the shock adjustment was enough to dial in the perfect set up.

Value for money?
They are a good purchase however I feel that there should be some kind of loyalty card

They are so much better than the standard bilsteins that they replaced, they handle so much better the body roll is reduced to almost zero and surprisingly they are alot more comfortable. oh and they go much lower.

Value for money?
They are quite expensive but no means the most expensive, but they are worth every penny and i have been recommending them to everyone i come across as i strongly believe you cant get better for the money.

I would 110% recommend these to other people

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

Performance on road?
Very smooth on the road, most of the time i run them at 4 clicks on the front 3 on the rear, some of roads are shocking in Sheffield. Obviously they’re not as compliant than new standard dampers and springs but the ride is very comfortable.

Performance on Track?
They seem very good, run them at 8 clicks front and 7 clicks rear in the wet, stiffer dampening in the dry. Really impressed with the performance, a huge leap forward from standard dampers and lowering springs.

Value for money?
They are the only coilovers I’ve purchased but i consider them very good value for money for my purposes.

Honda Integra 4dr – Zeta S suspension review

Construction seems to be of a very high quality and the bushes still look factory fresh at 18 months old. Looking forward to the years of trouble free Meister-R motoring ahead.

Performance on road?
Fantastic feel, sensitive fine damper adjustment and simple DIY installation. Better than the half a dozen other coilovers I’ve owned previously (including D2, TEIN, ST-suspensions, Eibach). Mated with top end road tyres this suspension gives me a lot of confidence when it comes to handling and control.

Performance on Track?
Yet to take the car on track, but this will change over the coming months.

Value for money?
I purchased my coilovers second hand for a price I couldn’t refuse, but I would happily pay retail for a new set.

Would I buy again?
For sure. Can’t see why I wouldn’t.

Honda S2000 – Zeta R suspension review

99-03 S2000 (AP1)

This review covers the both sets of coilovers which Zeta-Rs on both my EP3 Civic and my S2000.
When I bought my first set, I didn’t want the spring rates to be too hard, so I contacted Jerrick through civiclife.net and he arranged for some softer springs to be built up on my coilovers. They arrived in very short time and the completely changed the feel of the car. It was more planted on the road, the ride was more supple than the standard suspension and less rattly. But I got bored of the EP3 and moved on to an S2000 which I bought another set of MeisterRs almost immediately. Jerrick has to be one of the best people I’ve dealt with, he’s fast in answering emails, knowledgable and when I met him at Mimms ’13 he was the nicest guy! So a big thanks to him and everyone at MeisterR, you’ll certainly be getting my custom again when the time comes.

Performance on road?
On the road I have the damping turned down almost the softest setting because they absorb every bump and take out the horrible jars from the bar road surfaces around my area. That said, even on the softest setttings the car feels planted in coners and doesn’t have much body roll. I guess this is more to do with the springs but they are just very comfy coilovers to use on a daily basis and if I am going somewhere for a hoon where I know the roads are decent I just dial them up a few notches to a harder damping setting and the feel is completely transformed and everything tightens up.

Performance on Track?
I’ve not had the chance to use these in anger on the track which I’m meaning to do at some point this year.

Value for money?
For the quality of the product, they’re fantastic value for money. They’ve been on the car for a year now, covered over 12,000miles and the closest they’ve come to being cleaned is the spray from motorway driving. They were protected when installed with some ACF50 and when I came to adjust them I gave them a quick brush off and they were cleaned up like new and still easy to adjust. Their dual perch design also means that you can adjust the spring preload as well as the body height which is handy for additional height adjustment and corner weighting.

Would I buy again?
Of course I would. I’ve already owned two sets and they’ve been trouble free and performed excellently.

Not only did i receive good coilovers, i also was able to receive quick detailed advice from Jerrick. The product sold itself, but to receive on the spot help it was great.

Performance on road?

Very good, at first they were preety bumpy but a little adjustment made them spot on. Easy to adjust, although at one point they did become preety stif but a bit of lithium grease and some muscle they were loose and easy to adjust. They were able to go preety low! I could barely get my foot under the front lip and they still had a few more inches to lower.

Performance on Track?

Did not use on track

Value for money?

Considering i had paid £500 for when they were on offer id say they were cheap!

Maybe offer the fork type option at point of sale as no i have the eyelet type its alot harder to find rear control arms to match

Performance on road?
on a soft setting the zeta r’s preform the same as standard dampers on the road, comfy and but not too much body roll. on a harder setting the handle very well but pot holes and bumps are a bit of harsh with the solid top mounts but that doesn’t really bother me too much, the height range for a track based coilover is excellent. i’ve had mine on my car for march 2011 and have covered 30k miles, they are still easily adjustable and no issues

Performance on Track?
on track with stiffer settings the zeta r performs amazing, the handling into corners at high speed seems effortless. i’ve used them at mallory park, donington, silverstone, rockingham and the nurburgring.

Value for money?
they are excellent value for money, i was a bit concerned spending the money on coilovers but have always stated there the best modification i’ve made

Would I buy again?
definately, i recommend them to anyone who will listen

Honda CRX VT B16 – Zeta S suspension review

Overall, I have been impressed with The Meisters. They are still in excellent condition, and haven’t shown any signs of corrosion on the dampers or springs to date. They are easy to adjust at the top of each strut. I haven’t played around with adjusting height much yet but plan to experiment this year when on track days.

Performance on road?
I find the Zeta S coilovers to be very forgiving on Yorkshires pot holed roads on the soft setting, and although my car is very raw/caged etc, it hasn’t shaken my teeth out to date!

Performance on Track?
I have been to several UK circuits, and can honestly say the car handles fantastically well on the hard track settings, with minimal bodyroll. The 32 positon damp/rebound settings allow you to experiment for optimal handling. Wet track days are dealt with by winding the settings back to softer damping to minimise disappearing off the grey stuff!

Value for money?
Excellent value for money compared to other coil overs on the market.

Would I buy again?
Yes, I would probably upgrade to Zeta R to see what difference they make to the car.

Toyota Glanza – Zeta R suspension review

Performance on road?
I have been running the coilovers for the past 18 Months now and cannot fault them, on the road they take the ride excellent. They’re not too harsh/stiff which allows the bumps on the road to be absorbed, keeping the tyres in contact with the ground to maintain grip.

Performance on Track?
Since having the coilovers, I have attended various track days and plan on competing in the Toyota Sprint Series for the 2014 season. I have found the coilovers to perform very well out on track. In conjunction with an updated rear anti-roll bar, the car now reacts as it should and holds a nice line through corners.

Value for money?
Considering the price of the coilovers in comparison to other brands available, the value for money is top notch.

Would I buy again?
I wouldn’t hesitate to run the coilovers again, the only thing I would plan on doing is running a slightly stiffer spring weight (available from MeisterR) as the car is now 90% track only car.

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

For a long time I was very sceptical of the Meister R products, from the early days and Jerrick’s involvement on the CRX-UK forum it was hard to argue with his enthusiasm and aspirations of providing quality, well-developed suspension at affordable prices, but for me the only things I would be putting on my car were those made by race and time-proven manufacturers such as Bilstein and Eibach. Over a few years the Meister R coilovers seemed to be growing in popularity and receiving good feedback, but still I was dubious, I expected the units to fail the test of time and thought the feedback all came from people who didn’t know what a car that handles well really felt like and just wanted ˜lows’. Yet the coilovers continued to receive good reports and very few failures were reported, when my search for a MX5 for the track threw up a car fitted with Meister Rs, it didn’t put me off. ˜I’ll give them a go and if they’re no good then at least I’ll get good money for them’ I thought. Well, two years on and I am thrilled with the Meister Rs to the point that I have written this endorsement, I would buy them again without hesitation and would definitely consider a set of GT1s as an upgrade if they are made available for the MX5. In addition I recently contacted Meister R about changing the front springs for something a little stiffer, I received a swift, helpful response and found that the dampers have plenty of range for use with such springs.

Performance on road?
Though the car is predominantly a track car, I drive it to and from all tracks. With the dampers softened off the ride really is quite nice for a track car, though I usually forget to adjust the dampers at the end of the day and it still isn’t bothersome over 2 or 3 hours.
I also enjoy taking the car out for a blast on familiar Lincolnshire roads where a slightly softer damping setup provides a lovely compromise. The car is composed over the sorts of undulations that you just don’t get on track and well enough controlled to allow enjoyable, swift progress “ I would go out of my way to recommend them to anyone looking for a road coilover.

Performance on Track?
For me the Meister Rs really have excelled on track, considering they provide such a good compromise on the road, I have been really surprised at their ability on track. The car is very well set up and the coilovers are well supported by other chassis improvements but the fact remains that they are fundamental part of what makes the car handle so well. Cadwell park is my local track and the car really excels there, a relatively soft setup gives great composure through sections such as The Mountain and Hall Bends and the adjustable damping provides the scope to fine tune the balance through faster turns such as Coppice, Charlies and Chris Curve. This means that be it for fast road or track use, I would recommend Meister R to anyone.

Value for money?
Really very, very good. For a damping-adjustable monotube coilover with alloy top mounts (extended at the rear) and independent ride height adjustability, £700 is very low indeed. But £700 is still a fair chunk of money for all but the very fortunate so it’s important that people know that the product will represent value for a number of years. Happily I can report that I have never had any issues with my coilovers, nor have I heard of anyone else with issues beyond flaking of the paint on the springs. Given the performance, product features, price point and proven durability, I think the Meister R coilovers are very hard to beat in terms of value for money.

Would I buy again?
Without hesitation.

Suzuki Swift – Zeta S suspension review

Performance on road?
The coilovers are quite hard on the road, but that’s what you would expect, especially as I currently have the damping level at 16/32. However it is not uncomfortable in the car and only crashy over broken surfaces or potholes, when normal suspension wouldn’t fair much better. These coilovers are possibly one of the best modifications you can do to a Swift. The steering becomes less vague, and the chassis as a whole feels more tight, giving you more confidence in the car. Body roll is much reduced which helps keeps you in your seat and also stops the car looking like it has got arch gap a foot high.

Performance on Track?
The coilovers come in to their own here. You can feel what the car is doing, and it’ll stick through technical complexes or high-speed corners. It makes a car which handles well already punch well above its weight. To me they’ve also provided a better balance to the car, with it being more predictable. On track you could move the weight around and get the back end of the car rotating just when you wanted it to help you clip an apex.

Value for money?
When you consider the design of these coilovers, in particular the dual perch design which allows you to adjust height independently of damping, unlike nearly all the other coilovers on the market, they make for somewhat of a steal considering they are the same price. Any questions you have will always be answered, no matter how technical or stupid your question. This is something to value these days as most big brands won’t bother replying to you..

Would I buy again?
Yes

Toyota Celica – Zeta R suspension review

Having owned two gen 7 Celica’s before I was on the lookout for another. When I saw this one for sale it was listed with the Meister R Zeta-R coilovers fitted which made my choice very easy. Having run on standard shocks and Apex lowering springs on my previous gen 7 the difference in ride and handling is worlds apart. Smoother ride and sharper in the corners with the optional ride dampening adjustment can be set to suit your current road conditions. I would highly recommend any one who can afford these to get them without hesitation. The costs seem high when looking at it from a stand alone point of view but when you take into consideration you are getting brand new suspension components with 0 miles on the clock the costs for getting new shocks and lowering springs is not that far off without the same quality or ride improvements you get with the Meister R’s

Toyota Celica – Zeta R suspension review

After purchasing these coilovers initially to accommodate my wide 9.5J rims, I was blown away by the improvement in handling and also pleasantly surprised with the compromise in comfort, nowhere near as harsh as I thought they would be bearing in mind I have my car on the lowest setting on the rear. On the road performance is greatly increased and I can now push the car much much further. I have yet to experience track use but can imagine they would perform better still on a smoother surface.
Value for money was very good and one of the best mods I have carried out. Would most definitely buy again and recommend to anyone thinking of coilovers. Excellent Quality combined with excellent customer service is a winning combination, All the best to Jerrick and the team, Go Go Meister R!!

Toyota Celica – Zeta R suspension review

I’ve ran these coilovers for about 10K miles now and previously was running stock suspension with the GT lowering springs (all standard toyota on the GT model). These coilovers improve the handling compared to stock, improve the look (as everyone knows that low is better!), and make the ride much more comfortable! I was honestly surprised how much nicer these are compared to stock, even on the lowest setting. Never tracked the car but setting the coilovers to the hardest setting seems to make the country roads a breeze. Love these and would highly recommend, price point is perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

A great set up, easy to install and setup with exceptional ride quality and handling.

Performance on road?
Fantastic, the amount of settings available mean I can run my car fairly low and still maintain a comfortable ride quality. The handling is so much better than standard, understeer and body roll are greatly reduced. I have had the zeta s’ on for around 9 months now and they are so much easier to live with on a daily basis than my previous upgraded shocks and lowering springs.

Performance on Track?
Untried as yet.

Value for money?
Initially seem expensive but when compared to other coilovers they are competitively priced and with the club group buy discount they were a definite bargain.

Honda Civic – Zeta S suspension review

If you are thinking about changing the suspension set up of your Civic MB6, or any other Civic M’ model, I’d strongly recommend you buy these. Save time and money trying other set up’s, and go for the Zeta S! You won’t be disappointed!

Performance on road?
From start to finish, these Zeta S coilovers were easy to fit. I was a bit concerned about how they would affect the cars comfort levels at first, but I needn’t have worried! With 32 settings for stiffness, even with them set at their current setting of 20, they are amazingly comfortable, even on the roughest roads (which there are a lot of around here!). I would even go as far as to say they are as comfortable, if not better, than the standard suspension. If set to 1, they would be as near to oem settings as you can get.

Out on the road, I got the biggest shock. The handling of the car is truely transformed! Nose dive under breaking, which these civics are notorious for, is eliminated! cornering wise, there is no body roll, and the car is so planted through the bends you come out of each corner felling you could have went round even quicker! This not only makes the car nicer to drive, but the increased grip also makes the car a lot safer on the road too. We have fitted them and gone for around an inch drop at the front, slightly less at the rear. Stiffness/softness settings are currently set at 20 front, and 18 rear. This is the first setting we have tried, and the car is perfect! It might be going lower still, and with more tuning of ther settings, I imagine the ride/handling will be the best you can get.

The car was meant to be being kept in the garage as a show car, only used now and again. But the first few days after fitting these, I was using the car for work and every single trip out! It is just so much fun to drive!

Quality is also amazing, and a lot of thought has gone into the smallest details in the design of them.

Value for money?
Value for money, they may seem expensive, but for the performance and quality, you won’t find a cheaper set up tha’s anywhere near as good.

Would I buy again?
I’d definitely buy them again, and will be for my wife’s Civic Aerodeck!

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

The customer support is absolutely ace. I’ve been constantly chatting to Jerrick and Edwin through PM’s, trying to figure out the best settings for my needs and to get an understanding of how the system works, what each part does etc. and every time my questions have been answered within a couple of hours and i’ve never been made to feel like I was being stupid or asking a silly question.

Performance on road?
For road use absolutely spot on, I have mine wound down fairly low and the ride isn’t harsh at all. I’ve really thrown it around country roads and haven’t once wished that I went for a different coilover system. Nor have I ever felt that the coilovers were lacking for my needs.

Performance on Track?
I’ve only done one track day with mine and I also had a mate in ,basically, the same car but on standard suspension and the difference around the corners was insane, despite him having more power he simply couldn’t match my speeds on the corners. Again, never felt that the coilovers were lacking.

Value for money?
As is always, you get what you paid for. I would say that these were a great value. I have mine set lower than a friends who is on cheaper coilovers and mine is still a far comfier ride even on the harder settings.

Would I buy again?
Yes. If I was to get another MX5 these would be the first purchase.

Honda Civic EP3 – Zeta R suspension review

I have found my Meisters very good, they offer a large range of adjustment and damper settings to suit whatever setup you are going for.

Performance on road?
Mine ride very well, and aren’t too harsh and crashy like some others available… Body roll has been greatly reduced, Grip and turn in is a lot more positive also.. All round a large improvement over OEM

Value for money?
For the quality you get and the price you pay they, id give them a big

Honda Civic MB – Zeta S suspension review

Great service all round. Can’t complain and extremely easy to set up and use.

Performance on road?
have been using these for nearly 2 years now on road and they’re great. The 32 damping settings can help you set up how you like your ride to be. As I like no arch gap and the roads I drive on aren’t the best I use the highest setting all the time, So rock solid.

Performance on track?
I haven’t picked up the courage to take my pride and joy on track but for blasting around on roads they handle well. Even for my estate car.

Value for money?
they are quite expensive but to get a decent set of shocks or car parts you gotta pay the money. But looking at other coilovers, They are about the same price and meister seem to have the must have concept with them and of course excellent customer service!!

Would I buy again?
yes I would buy again without a doubt. Keep up the good work.

Mini – Europa suspension review

Disappointed with KW V2(too soft and not easy to fine tune), i was looking for a solution that was more track focused and user friendly, so i found Meister R, read some reviews and i loved it,changed the way the car handles. I have to say that even now(after 2 years), I’m still finding the perfect setup but the more i know, the more i like them! Running 2º in front and 1.50 in the rear!!(dry)
I had a crash and i needed support from Jerrick and he was always there. Having someone to talk directly 24/7, instead of someone in a big company that doesn’t care a bit about us is a very big bonus, and this worths a ton of money. In my opinion we could have optional spring rates when buying the coilovers, but i think Jerrick is looking at this. Would love if it was possible to lower a little bit more tough.

Performance on Road?
A little bit harsher then the common coilovers, but indeed those are more track focused for fast-road track, so in my opinion it’s ok, in a good dry road(with the proper camber settings),the car has sharp feeling, and it never surprises you(predictable!). It is recommended that the common driver knows how to setup the coilovers for the different environments to get the most out of it!

Performance on Track?
Haven’t had the opportunity do test them in the track with anything better then Yokohama Parada Spec 2, but indeed these coilovers show their true potential in it. Will test them soon with proper tires! For now, happy with it!

Value for Money?
Damping Adjustment, Aluminium Top mount, camber adjustment and the overall quality of the product, makes me say that it has a very good Value for the money!

Nissan 350Z – Zeta R suspension review

Fitted a month ago now – Zeta R. – Absolutely brilliant.
Not being a mechanic i fitted myself. Easy to adjust damping so longer journeys make the 350z comfortable. I have really pushed these on track with a few different ride height settings, very easy to adjust also. Good value for money, and quality seems great.  Very pleased.

Nissan Skyline GTT ER34 – Zeta S suspension review

Bought some Zeta-S from Jerrick a couple of weeks ago and had them fitted by Andy from Millers Autocare in Epsom. Been driving around it the car for over a week now and what a massive difference from lowering springs and stock shocks. The Meisters are great, the car looks better, ride isn’t as harsh as I thought it may have been and handling is now awesome.Excellent customer service from Jerrick and crew at Meister.

Nissan Skyline GTR R32 – Zeta R suspension review

I am so happy with the Zeta-R that I have not been interested in removing them for the new MeisterR suspension that has just come out. If something aint broke then you dont fix it in my book, but the new stuff is well, see for yourself really but again another work of art that is phenomenal!

Performance on Road?
You can really feel the difference on either the Zeta-S or the Zeta-R when you change the adjustment even by a few clicks. By trial and error in a short space of time its easy to identify how you like them set up on your vehicle whether you want to soak up the bumps or have more feel coming through at the expense of feeling those bumps! In terms of fitting them make sure you get them done by someone who knows that theyre doing as again it can be trial and error to get the ride hide you want. I’d recommend both the Zeta-S and the Zeta-R as I have used them in fast road applications, but personally after changing to the Zeta-R I would not go back to the S

Performance on Track?
I haven’t really done enough on either the Zeta-S or the Zeta-R. On the times that I have I have advice on what to try from their very creator and after a number of laps I was very happy with the way the car felt and responded. Whilst I can talk extensively about fast road with these coilovers, there are others out there far better qualified than I for their track use!

Value for Money?
Outstanding for what you get really in terms of quality, craftsmanship, build and longevity. The myth that the Zeta-S and the Zeta-R were just a rebrand of another well known make is total crap!

Would you buy again?
Of course!

Mazda MX5 – Zeta S suspension review

Had trouble justifying splashing out all the money in one go for a set of Meisters. Spent ages watching eBay. Went through all the permutations for shocks and springs, lowering, standard, adjustable. Koni, KyB standard, spax. You name it I looked at it and costed it out.

In the end there was very little difference in overall cost, ignoring the real cheap crap out there. Everyone said Meisters were good so when the group buy came up I jumped at them. Fitted them within 2 hours of receiving them. Love them. Only use them on the road but handling is great. Speed bumps are not an issue even at the ‘out of the box’ height and everyone comments how smooth the car is.

I now look for bumps instead of avoiding them. Here’s how she sits, as I say no issues with speed bumps at this height.

Mazda MX5 NA – Zeta S suspension review

I’d tried a couple of other set ups but just wasn’t happy. I bought some Buddyclub suspension but that was so rigid i’m sure my tires flexed more than the actual suspension movement.
I then Seen the group buy going on here so decided to just go for it as i had had the Meisters previously on a Tommy Mac Evo 5.5.The big day arrived and i opened the box to behold the black and red gold inside. They are so beautifully made. right down to the finest detail. and look lovely in black and anodized red.
Fitting was a piece of cake, especially as my car was already stripped and waiting to fit them. and height set up is very easy as well with the well constructed C nuts and spanners. The ride quality is excellent. you would be forgiven for not even realizing that you had just fitted coil-overs as its so smooth and soaks up all the bumps on the road. and at the same time they are stiff enough for spirited country roads.
I will be on a track day to knockhill on the 5th of July so will let yous know how they are on track after then,
along with some Go Pro footage. In hindsight i may well have gone for the slightly firmer spring rate but i am in no way disappointed in what i have.
All in all i would highly recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade at a great price.

Personal note Driven not detailed  You may not be aware of the brand, but you soon will be.

Performance on road?
before I fitted the MeisterR’s I decided to get the lowering springs.
What a waste of money they were, yes it looked aesthetically pleasing but was like still being in a boat on the road.
The Zeta S allow you to attack your favourite roads no matter how bad the surface, staying flat & in control.

Performance on track?
my car now comes alive, no more pitching from side to side, wallowing up & down.
Awesome, one of my better buys, controlled & composed allowing me to get on & drive.

Honda Civic FK2 – Zeta R suspension review

Overall the car lowered by 15mm without preloading the springs.
The coilovers adjusted to full soft and remained as is for about 2000Km in order to reach their best performance. Then re-adjusted and finally set to front: 15, rear: 12 which is excellent for my needs.

Performance on Road?
Excellent. The car, compared to the OEM suspension, is stiffer but not hard, noises & knocks from the original suspension disappeared and car feels far more assured. Also body roll decreased significantly.

Performance on Track?
Not tested till now.

Honda Civic FD2 – Zeta R suspension review

Performance on Road?
Superb. I live up in the N Pennies with fast moorland roads than are also (unfortunately) very bumpy and potholed. The Zeta Rs perform excellently, giving me far less torque steer, better traction, more steering precision and much more comfort than the previous coilovers (AST) I had previously and which also cost nearly 3 times as much! Also, they appear to be extremely robust and standing up the hard conditions very well.

Performance on Track?
During a recent trackday at Cadwell Park, they performed extremely well. Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to properly experiment with damping settings but even at softer settings, they produced great handling round the twisty circuit.

Value for Money?
Excellent – you won’t get better value for money

Honda Integra DC2- Zeta R suspension review

94-01 Integra (DC2)

Jerrick has been very helpful working with me as a customer to get the right spring rate for my application.

Performance on Road?
Original spring rate was much too high (12/10kg) but Jerrick and I settled on a softer spring rate which works great on my particular car (8/6kg). Also running full hardrace bush kit, camber arms front and rear and control arms rear and multi-adjustable whiteline uprated ARBs front and rear. The car has been used all over europe – alpine roads, corsica, germany etc – setup at standard ride height with an aggressive geo (toe out front and rear). optimised for traction with standard wheel/tyres, the zeta-r’s offer a good range of dampening adjustment and the height adjustment is clever allowing seperate ride height and spring preload. Could do with slightly longer bodies at the rear for those that want to run ‘stock’ ride height as they are right up at the top of adjustment and have to run some pre-load.

Performance on Track?
The car has been used at circuits all over the UK and the nurburgring. The ‘ring is notorious for wrecking dampers (my OEM dampers overheated and failed at the ‘ring) but the Zetas coped well with constant lapping. with a softer spring rate, they worked very well with the challanging surface and allowed early throttle application on the exit of corners and kept the front wheels hooked up. Very stable under braking over bumps.

Value for Money?
Very well priced, with a good selection of options (top mounts, spring rates etc)

Would like to lower my car more and have same stiffness, what I want to say is I want a set of MeisterR Zeta-r super low

Performance on Road?
Really stiff suspension, after driving standard MB1 civic I couldn’t believe that on softest position these would be so stiff.

Performance on Track?
Superb suspension, car stands on the track like a kart with almost no body roll.

I have been dealing with MeisterR for a good few years now, through my job, and through my personal car’s. The quality of their products is far superior to other similar items on the market, and this is talking from first hand experience.

MeisterR is a brilliant company, with great customer care, which you simply don’t get nowaday’s, not to mention, even better products!

Honda Civic EJ6 – Zeta S Coilover Review

Great performance from the get go, they’ve been on the car for more than 2 years now and I’m still as happy with them as I was on the day I fitted them. Cope really well with the deteriorating UK roads, not bone-shakingly stiff (even on the harshest setting) or bouncy, unlike some other coilovers I have experienced. I’ve never been on a track, although I imagine they’d feel even better, without the potholes etc. Value wise, they’re spot on, no scene tax for being JDM as phuck.. If you’re after a set of coilovers that do what they say on the tin, look no further. I would recommend and buy them again if I had to!

P.S – Jerrick’s always been amazingly helpful with any questions I’ve had. Aftercare is second to none.

Mazda RX8 231 – Zeta S Coilover Review

When I was looking for coil overs there are all kinds of things on the market, and blurb you read, Jerrick From MeisterR was the only person that was able to answer all the questions I had. Even then he advised me of things that I hadn’t even asked about, nothing says quality to me quite like someone knowing what they are selling, I placed my order and the next day there was a knock on the door, there was a little man with a rather large box….(get your mind out the gutter) Inside was a set of very shiny well packed Coilovers, I remember thinking Wow these look nice, having a look around them as you do the build quality really is good, and not a good for the price but top money good. lovely deep red anodised parts with strong well built sleeves. effortless motion for lowering and raising the car, and the spanners supplied are good quality too, they don’t die the first time you use them!

How does it perform on the road?
after letting the car settle on them for a few hours I took the car out (with the misses) was a nice day and there are some Windey’s out this way so best place for testing. straight away you can feel that the car is planted, the body roll disappears completely, and the car just has grip after grip, you get a feeling like the back is about to step out but really its the car just biting in more! I was in shock and love all at the same time, the car was good before but the Meisters really bring out the best in the chassis. to top it all off, the ride comfort isn’t changed that much, I have had springs and shocks before that felt like they were trying to brake my spine, even with pot hole roads the Meisters are great and allow the feedback you want from the car track days will be a real treat now I cant wait to get booked up for some track time!!!

Value for money?
This was a big part for me, I was looking at springs, to lower the car and stay with standard shocks, thinking about it, if they are not matched the ride can be crazy, uncomfortable not to mention having a leaky damper after adding more stress to them. so I went on basis that new shocks and lowing springs would cost not to much less than the Meister. as far as Value goes, if I was testing these and didn’t know the price I would think they were £1000 + equipment.

Would you buy again?
In a heart beat (but hopefully I wont have to as these will last ….) just a big thank you to Jerrick, for all his help and advise, if you are looking at a coil over kit for road and track these really are worth every penny!!!

Mazda RX7 – Zeta R Coilover review

After some emails bouncing back and forth with Jerrick I decided on purchasing the zeta R Coilovers . Through friends on the glanza and Honda circles who swore great things and after first hand experience in a highly tuned glanza swapping out £1800 TRD suspension for the MeisterR replacements. What a massive improvement In handing UK roads and I was genuinely very impressed. Back to my fd experience, fitting was straight forward and I set the damping adjustment to the middle setting 16. The front once fitted were far to low and left about 4mm from arch to tyre. We adjusted that with about ten threads and left it with about 20mm gap front and back. So my experience is WoW and honestly for UK roads these are absolutely brilliant. My car is pretty slammed and the ride on less than perfect Northumbrian roads is over 100% better and far exceeded my expectations and have transformed the car. I can’t describe how much better this soaks up the Tarmac now and the skippy feeling putting power down has now vanished. I would have and will have no problems in recommending this kit to others One very happy customer indeed. Ill get better pics once the weather picks up but some fitting ones here.

How does it perform on the road?
Been on 3 months and very impressed with them! Firm but not uncomfortable and of course there adjustable anyway, doesn’t get unsettled too much by bumps and handles fantastically! By far the best coilovers I’ve ever experienced on any car.

How does it perform on the track?

Absolute top quality! couldn’t ask for anything more from a set of coilovers, can go impractically low (which i am) and adjust the dampers to suit road conditions and driving style.

How does it perform on the road?
Definitely one of the better brands for coilovers that i’ve used, these have truly stood the test of time, i run them constantly rock solid and they still handle immensely! car has been in two front collisions and both front struts are still perfectly straight which truly surprised me!

How does it perform on track?
unfortunately i haven’t used them on track but the nearest i can compare is A and B roads, to which, they are awesome! hold the road so well and allow you to literally throw the car into any order no matter how sharp it is or how fast you are going!

How does it perform on the road?
Transformed the car on the road, gave much more rear end grip in the wet and actually gave me some confidance in the car in fast corners

How does it perform on the track?
on track these really came into their own, i was able to throw the car from left to right with ease and hold plenty of speed through the corners which for a big heavy rear wheel drive car is a great feat.

Toyota starlet glanza V Coilover Review

Best set of coilovers I’ve owned in the compromise of track and road use.

How is performance on road?
Very good on the road, much more compliant ride on UK roads then my previous brand of coilovers, yet still handles so much better.

How is the performance on track?
This is what I bought my coilovers for, they have taken a pounding on track and stood up to the test for two years now, and provide considerable grip, and made a massive difference to my lap times, and the car is so much more predictable that I can now take the starlet closer to its limit and feel much more confident, I also am now keeping up with a lot of supposed faster cars through the corners because of the confidence I now have with the Zeta-r coilovers.

Value for money?
Roughly same price as most, but when you add the member discount and how easy these are to install, and how long lasting they are with the major handling improvement, the value is brilliant.

Would you buy again?
Yes woundn’t hesitate.

How is performance on the road?
The UK roads are terrible but they handle the surface well, the softest setting on the dampers is still crashy but on smooth roads there excellent.

How is performance on the track?
Tested them on the nurburgring and at knockhill and i thought they performed brilliant for the abuse they got. Rebound setting though non adjustable have been set well I didnt even need to turn them all the way up on the bound setting. pring rates at the rear could do with fine tuning, a bit more stiff would be advantageous.

Value for money?
Part of a group buy so brilliant value in my case

Honda CL1 Accord Euro R Coilover Review

How is performance on the road?
My car was on Mugen 5 way adjustable dampers when i got it, in comparison to these the MeisterR’s perform to a similar level with more adjust ability in both damping and ride height.
The non adjustable ride height on the Mugen’s were why i swapped them out but was a worthwhile decision. They cope very well with the weight of the Accord, and also with my usual driving routes along country B roads, or on the motorway. With a few clicks they can be easily adjusted to suit your needs, currently running with 12 clicks on the front and 8 on the rear.

How is the performance on the track?
Cant comment as i am yet to go on track but would see them as being more than able.

Eunos Roadster VR-Ltd Combination A Coilover Review

When I bought my roadster 6 months ago the main thing that needed fixing was the woefully bad Bilstein suspension. The dampers were really tired, and at anything over about 60 mph the car was skittish, didn’t track well, and actually felt dangerous…My rule of thumb with the car is that anything that needs replacing should be changed for the best I can afford rather than go for standard replacements, so I got searching the forums (mainly Pistonheads) for advice and recommendations  Two makes stood out, the Zeta-S’s and Gaz Pro, with the Zeta-S’s ahead maybe 70%/30%, and not a bad word to say about them apart from maybe there were a wee bit expensive. But as they were getting such good reviews and as there was a group buy available I decided to go with the Zetas.

It was deffo the right decision, the car was transformed! It tracked straight and true, felt composed and planted, and the ride quality was vastly better. The car had come alive, and was fun rather than scary when cracking on…

The other great thing is that the 4×4 look was gone – I wanted the car to be low, but still practical, and I think the ride height compromise is perfect for my type of driving. (Fast Reasonably quick road use!)

Mazda Mx5 Mk1 Coilover Review

Don’t buy any other coilovers until you have had meisterr’s i have been in everything from 200sx’s to bmw’s and mx5’s with meisterr coilovers and they have all been amazing and the owners consistently amazed with the quality and performance of the coilovers.

How is the performance on the road?
fantastic, even on harder settings the coilovers handle bumps and potholes fine even when wound down to silly low as they are on my car. car is comfortable yet composed at all times wether it is around town or cruising down the motorway.

How is the performance on the track?
ridiculous, car gripped amazing and coilovers took some ridiculous abuse and never let me down, again i have lowered the car to the point where you would expect suspension performance to be comprimised yet the coilovers continue to perform amazingly.

Value for money?
even though they are expensive, you get what you pay for and i would buy again even if they cost more.

Customer support is 2nd to none. I would recommend these Meister R’s products to anyone.

How is the performance on the road?
Having previously had another brand of coilovers fitted to my FN2 I was really surprised how good the Meister R coilovers were. The range of adjustment has allowed me to get what the manufacturer never provided on the standard suspension, a comfortable ride! The range of adjustment on the suspension allows you to choose between a comfortable and forgiving ride, or for spirited driving stiffer settings that provide better handling and feedback.

How is the performance on the track?
Only a few days after fitting the Zeta R coilovers I took part in a track day at Cadwell Park. What can I say? Superb! Adjusting the settings on the coilovers gave me the handling and feedback I needed on track. This allowed me to push the car beyond the limits of what I had done on track before. Cadwell Park is a tight and technical circuit, the Zeta R coilovers performed faultlessly.

Value for money?
The Zeta R coilovers are worth every penny.

Would you buy again?
Most certainly.

Jerrick’s support is great. Great to deal with and happy to help

How is the performance on the road?
Excellent! Everything’s adjustable so you can get the ride how you want it. Set on the soft side the ride quality is very reasonable. Set on the stiff side the car handles like it’s on rails; very planted and stable. The compression/rebound damping ratio is well balanced and there’s as much ride height and damping adjustment as you’d ever need.

How is the performance on the track?
Hope to find out soon

Can’t be beat IMO

Honda Civic Type R Coilover Review

I’ve heard good reviews from forum members and friends regarding the zeta r, so I thought I would give their new (track) coilover ago. I purchased the supperace as the uprated damping and higher spring rates would be perfect for track time the ek9 will be seeing. First thought of the coilovers are they are a great build quality and look awesome. After fitting them they have been perfect, not crashy or bouncy they are perfect!! the perfect test will be when i go to Nurburgring in July, but if they are anything like they are on the road they will be perfect on the track! For £799 I couldn’t tell you a better coilover for the price! And ive previously had tein, BC and used buddyclub and they don’t compare anywhere near to the Meister R.

I would recommend Meister R to everyone, for many reasons l one being the customer service is amazing and if you have any problems its sorted there and then! If it’s just for track, to go low or even just for the road get Meister R.

Honda Civic Type R (EP3) Coilover Review

How does it perform on the road?
Road performance with these coilovers is great, the spring rates aren’t too hard as to break your back over every little bump but still provide a good road handling. The damping adjustment makes a big difference, I’ve found turning it down to around the 10 click range gives a fairly smooth ride and doesn’t upset the car over rough surfaces.

How does it perform on the track?
I am just due to do my 6th track day on these coilovers which have been great every time. Turning the damping up really stiffens up the response of the coilovers coupled with the rest of my suspension mods gives the car good handling. The front camber adjustment on the top of the struts allows a wide range of camber adjustment in my case up to 2.5degrees each side. With my engine being standard power wise I rely on handling to keep up with the more powerful cars and these coilovers are a key part of that set up.

Value for money?
I would say these coilovers are good value for money, I have had mine on for over two years (15k miles) and they are still in great condition. None of the threads on the body have got corroded from the road salt and all the paint is in good condition. Also the dampers themselves show no sign of leaks or wear, the shaft looks brand new thanks to the protective dust boot. After fitting cheap ‘ebay’ coilovers to a friends civic the quality difference between the two was very clear and they don’t look great after one winter!

Would you buy again?
Definitely, I am even considering upgrading to the more track focused ‘super race’ coilovers.
I would just like to say that MeisterR’s customer service is very good, any questions I had was answered quickly and were very helpful including back when I first ordered them keeping me updated on the ETA.

How is the performance on the road?
I found the recommended dampening setting to soft for my liking, once stiffened up a little the car feels very stable and much more capable then before, the build quality is good there’s no crashing noises over bumps like with cheaper coilovers, and they are comfortable for daily driving

How is the performance on the track?
Have not ever tracked the car so can’t comment

Value for money?
9/10 well priced compared to there competitors, and were able to advise correctly on fitment where other companies were unsure.

Would you buy again?
Yes, very happy with there performance so far nice usability on the adjustment, came with everything required which made fitting simple.

I have recommended these to many people in my country and everyone that have been in my car when driving it hard have been really impressed on the performance of the suspension.

How is the performance on road?
Smooth, not too harsh for daily driving.

How is the performance on the track?
Really nice and balanced, taken these to trackdays four times and compared to my friends Cusco Zero2 there isn’t basicly any difference, they perform equally.

Value for money?
9/10, my coilovers are around three(?) years old, from the first patch and they are showing some rust on bottom parts and the threads. Also the dust covers are gone at rear. Other than that they work like new!

The ride quality is fantastic without being too harsh. I love the adjustability.Dont forget to buy your Camber adjusters and get a full wheel alignment done to get the most out of your suspension.

How is the performance on the road?
The coilovers provide a great comprimise between handling and comfort (I run 8 clicks from Soft on the front, and 5 clicks from soft on the rear). I remember how body roll was instantly reduced when I fitted the fronts, and generally they cope very well, especially with the bumpy roads that London has to offer!

How is the performance on the track?
Can’t comment as I have yet to test them on track.

Excellent value for money having considered adjustability and build quality.

Nissan S15 – GT1 high performance coilovers

MeisterR Suspension has drastically improved the performance of my car. It went from being a really uncomfortable car to drive, to something that I enjoy and drive everyday. I would thoroughly recommend it.

How does it perform on the road?
I am running the MeisterR GT1 suspension on the S15. I removed the HKS Pro spec drift suspension in favour of the MeisterR suspension. A lot of people follow big brands like TEIN or HKS, but they are designed for Japanese roads. MeisterR performs excellently on UK roads with spring rates to suit. I use the S15 everyday its firm but not uncomfortable. The ability to adjust ride height and rebound rate is important to me dependant on whether I’m using the car in anger on a drift day, or going to the shops. Jerrick and the MeisterR team have really produced something quite amazing.

How does it perform on the track?
The S15 effortlessly drifts primarily due to the excellent product MeisterR offers. I’ve had BDC drivers take the car for a spin and tell me the setup is the best they’ve ever driven. Its no wonder than championship cars run MeisterR and most of the cars in the British Drift Championship league tables all run MeisterR suspension.

Value for money?
MeisterR suspension is excellent value for money, the best upgrade I purchased for my S15

I have, currently own three sets of MeisterR’s one on my R33 GTR, the set on my S15 and another on my Altezza

Honda Integra DC5 Zeta R suspension review

The stand out part of the MeisterR experience for me, has always been the fantastic customer service. I™ve dealt with Jerrick before, and he’s always been on hand to help out and offer advice. This time I dealt with Edwin, who went above and beyond the call of duty to reply to my questions, even out with working hours. Top job guys, keep it up!

Performance on road?
On the road they are firm, but no overly so. Plenty adjustment in the damping to allow for daily driving, even on the rough roads on Northern Scotland.

Performance on Track?
Very good on track! I’ve used them twice on track currently. First at Oulton Park in the wet. Damping set to 25 clicks from soft and everything was fine. Second outing was at Knockhill in the dry. I pushed them a lot further this time, full stiff for the whole day. Body control was fantastic, but with my car being quite low there was a little rubbing on the arch liners (only over bigger bumps). On the limit they are nice and predictable.

Value for money?
Excellent value for money. I know from experince on previous cars that they are a quality item that will last many years. There aren™t many kits out there that can truly claim to be a good compromise between road and track, but MeisterR have achieved just that.

Would I buy again?
As a previous customer, I have, and would buy again without a doubt
